Yellow Card raises $40 million for global expansion
Nigeria-founded Yellow Card, a stablecoin infrastructure provider, has secured $40 million in funding to further its global expansion efforts.

Yellow Card, a company founded in Nigeria and specializing in stablecoin infrastructure, has closed a $40 million strategic funding round to fuel its international growth.
The firm enables banks, fintechs, and multinational corporations to access US dollars, manage treasury functions, and facilitate cross-border money movement. Yellow Card supports over 50 currencies, combining global reach with extensive coverage in emerging markets.
This latest funding round, which included investments from SC Ventures by Standard Chartered, Sony Innovation Fund, Polychain Capital, and Blockchain Capital, brings Yellow Card's total financing to over $120 million. The capital will be used to scale its global USD accounts for businesses and expand its stablecoin network connections worldwide.
"This investment is a vote of confidence in what we’ve spent years building: the infrastructure that lets global businesses move money without traditional correspondent banking," said Chris Maurice, CEO and co-founder of Yellow Card. "The bigger opportunity now is connecting banks themselves to stablecoin rails."
The investment from Sony Innovation Fund reflects growing institutional interest in stablecoins for global payments and will support Yellow Card's expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
