Yostar to transition Blue Archive operations to NEXON in 2027
Yostar announced it will transfer the Japanese operations of the mobile game Blue Archive to developer NEXON Games in January 2027, concluding a six-year partnership.
Yostar, the long-term publisher of the Japanese version of Blue Archive, confirmed it will cease its distribution contract with developer NEXON Games in January 2027. Following the transition, NEXON will assume direct control over the title’s Japanese operations.
According to Yostar CEO Li Hengda, the decision followed extensive negotiations between the two entities. The shift marks the end of a collaboration that began with the game's initial launch in 2021. Yostar has committed to maintaining its current service levels until the formal handover is complete.
To address player concerns regarding account stability, Yostar stated that user data, including in-game currency and inventory, is expected to be transferred to the new operator. Specific details regarding the migration process will be disclosed at a later date. Meanwhile, operations for the game in other regions, including the Chinese market, remain unchanged under existing regional partners.
