Google's YouTube is adding NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock as a bundled perk for its Premium subscribers. The companies announced a multi-year agreement on Monday, which will allow YouTube Premium subscribers to stream Peacock's ad-supported programming, including shows, movies, and live sports, directly within the YouTube app starting in 2027.

Peacock's ad-supported tier will be included as part of YouTube's standard subscription. A YouTube spokesperson confirmed to The Verge that the subscription, which increased to $15.99 per month in April, will now incorporate Peacock. This bundling is positioned as a more cost-effective option for consumers than subscribing to both services separately, as Peacock's ad-supported plan currently begins at $10.99 per month.

The deal signifies a strategic move for both companies in the competitive streaming landscape. For YouTube, it aims to enhance the value proposition of its Premium service, while NBCUniversal gains a larger distribution channel for Peacock's content.
