YSL Beauty Names Actor Alisha Boe as New Global Face for Black Opium

YSL Beauty has named actor Alisha Boe as the new global ambassador for its Black Opium fragrance, the company announced on July 27 in New York.

Boe, known for her roles in productions such as Apple TV+'s "The Buccaneers" and Netflix's "13 Reasons Why," embodies the brand's ideals of modern audacity and authenticity. YSL Beauty has a history of partnering with rising stars, aiming to align with cultural trends and connect with a younger demographic.

In conjunction with this new partnership, YSL Beauty is launching an updated version of its signature fragrance, BLACK OPIUM PINK GLAZE. This new iteration is described as a modern take on the classic scent, incorporating strawberry notes.

"Black Opium is pure adrenaline – that raw, electric energy of a night out. It doesn't play it safe, and that's exactly why I love it," Alisha Boe stated in a press release. She expressed excitement about becoming the fragrance's new ambassador, calling it an invitation to embrace one's unapologetic self.

Black Opium, first launched in 2014, is a flagship fragrance for YSL Beauty. The new PINK GLAZE edition is intended for a generation that experiences everything more deeply and views connection as the ultimate luxury. Through this collaboration with Boe, YSL Beauty aims to set a new standard for "Gen Z beauty," characterized as bold, communal, and magnetic.
