Private capital provider Z2 Capital Partners announced the final close of its first fund, Z2 SBIC I, LP, with $300 million in total capital. The fund targets U.S. companies with revenues of $10 million or more.

STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 28, 2026 – Z2 Capital Partners, a private capital provider, announced today the final closing of its inaugural fund, Z2 SBIC I, LP, with $300 million in total capital raised. The fund, which was oversubscribed, received a license as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Founded in 2022, Z2 Capital Partners focuses on investing in U.S.-based companies generating at least $10 million in revenue and $2 million in EBITDA. Individual investments typically range from $10 million to $40 million, with a strategy focused on senior secured debt and minority equity investments, primarily in non-sponsored and independently sponsored companies.
The fund attracted capital from a diverse group of limited partners, including banks, insurance companies, funds of funds, endowments, family offices, and registered investment advisors. Z2 Capital Partners stated that demand for the fund exceeded initial expectations, validating the firm's investment strategy and its commitment to supporting growing companies that form the backbone of the American economy.
