Zenzap Raises $44 Million for AI Business Chat App

Zenzap, a company developing an AI-enhanced chat application for businesses, announced it has raised $44 million in funding. The round was led by Bessemer, Lightspeed, and The Garage, with participation from individual investors including Wix President Nir Zohar and former EY General Manager Yoram Tietz.

The company aims to replace consumer-grade messaging apps like WhatsApp, which are often used by organizations for internal communication and data exchange, with a platform that meets enterprise IT and security standards. Zenzap's offering focuses on providing employees with organizational context through AI, while adhering to security protocols.

This funding comes as many businesses seek more secure and efficient communication tools. Zenzap's approach suggests a growing trend towards integrating AI into workplace collaboration to improve information access and operational workflows.

Founder Guy Weiss previously bootstrapped and sold StuccoMedia, an e-commerce marketing platform, in 2015. This is Weiss's first fundraising round for Zenzap.
