Chinese drone manufacturer Zero Zero Robotics, known as IT Home in China, has unveiled its new HOVERAir series drone on Instagram. The new model continues the "small black box" design language established by the X1 PRO and PRO MAX series, with a primary focus on facilitating easy selfie photography.

The new drone features a modular design. The camera module, propeller system, and a secondary selfie screen are integrated into the top of the drone and connect via contact points and magnetic clasps. This design allows for components like different propeller types to be swapped out.

Furthermore, the camera module is designed to be detachable, suggesting it can be used independently as an action camera. This feature expands the drone's utility beyond aerial photography and videography.

For context, the current HoverAir X1 PRO model features a 12MP CMOS sensor capable of 4K 60FPS video and has 32GB of storage. The PRO MAX model upgrades to a 48MP CMOS sensor, offering 8K 30FPS video recording and 64GB of storage. Both current models boast a 16-minute flight time and stabilization technology.
