Zimbabwean ActivitIA focuses on local activity discovery
Zimbabwean startup ActivitIA helps users discover and share real-life activities happening nearby, from food and sports to community gatherings.

Zimbabwean startup ActivitIA has launched a platform aimed at addressing the fragmented discovery of local activities.
Founded in 2025, ActivitIA consolidates diverse activities, including food, sports, music, school, church, and community events, alongside spontaneous gatherings. Users can browse nearby happenings, share them, follow organizers, and engage in conversations.
A distinct feature of the platform is its model, allowing anyone to post an activity, with the rightful organizer able to claim it, correct details, and manage its page. This reflects how events currently circulate locally—via posters, social media, and word-of-mouth.
ActivitIA integrates activity discovery, posters, organizers, venues, sharing, claiming, conversations, and social participation onto a single platform. The company is currently self-funded and has observed growing user interest.
The company's initial focus is on Zimbabwe, with Harare as its primary market. Future expansion is planned for other African cities facing similar activity discovery challenges. A future revenue model is expected to involve paid promotion services.
