Zimmer Biomet and Think Surgical Extend Exclusive Distribution Deal for Robotic System
Medical technology firm Zimmer Biomet and robotics company Think Surgical have extended their exclusive distribution agreement. The deal covers Think Surgical's TMINI system.
Zimmer Biomet and THINK Surgical have entered into a multi-year extension of their limited exclusive distribution and supply agreement. Under the renewed terms, Zimmer Biomet will continue to distribute an exclusive version of THINK's TMINI Miniature Robotic System. This wireless, handheld system is designed for use with Zimmer Biomet's Persona Knee System.
The extension follows a successful partnership during the initial term of the agreement, with both companies aiming to accelerate the adoption of the TMINI system in orthopedic surgery. THINK Surgical CEO Stuart Simpson stated that the agreement's continuation underscores the value the TMINI system has provided to Zimmer Biomet's customers and their patients.
Zimmer Biomet highlighted that the TMINI system addresses customer demand for a wireless, handheld robotic solution compatible with its Persona Knee System. Brad Kessler, President, Americas – Robotics, Technology and Data for Zimmer Biomet, described THINK Surgical as a valuable partner in the company's strategy to offer a broad ecosystem of robotic and enabling technologies tailored to the diverse preferences of orthopedic surgeons.
