Zonta International has announced the opening of its application cycle for four educational awards designed to support women and girls. The organization has historically invested over $17.5 million globally to empower women and girls through education, with the goal of advancing educational equality.
The available awards include the Amelia Earhart Fellowship for students in space sciences and aerospace engineering, the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award, the Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award, and the Zonta Women in STEM Award. The individual award amounts range from $5,000 to $12,000.
These programs aim to provide women and girls with crucial resources to excel in fields where they have historically been underrepresented. Zonta International states that thousands of women and girls from over 80 countries have benefited from its educational initiatives, enabling them to reach their full potential.
"Our educational programs are among our most impactful initiatives," stated Zonta International President Fernanda Gallo Freschi. "These programs provide vital opportunities and resources that empower women and girls to thrive in male-dominated fields."
Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global organization dedicated to advancing gender equality and preventing violence against women. Information on eligibility and the application process can be found on their website.
