ZunJie V800 Brake Pedal Bracket to Undergo Free Upgrade
Chinese automaker ZunJie will offer a free upgrade for the brake pedal bracket on its V800 model, following reports and videos of the component failing during emergency braking tests.

Chinese automaker ZunJie has announced a free upgrade program for the brake pedal bracket on its V800 model. The upgrade process is scheduled to begin progressively in November, with upgrade plans to be finalized by the end of October. This action follows online reports and videos suggesting the bracket failed during emergency braking maneuvers.
ZunJie customer service clarified that the upgrade is not a recall. Vehicles that have not yet been shipped will be produced with the optimized component. For owners of delivered vehicles, the upgrade will be available upon request and will be performed free of charge. Customer service emphasized that owners have the choice to opt-in for the upgrade.
The situation came to light after a road test organization, DONGCHEIDI, released footage showing the brake pedal bracket on three ZunJie V800 vehicles breaking during emergency braking from 100 km/h. DONGCHEIDI has refuted claims that the test was conducted under extreme conditions or with excessive force, stating it is a standard automotive test.
ZunJie stated that its braking systems are developed and validated to exceed national and industry standards. However, the company has decided to further optimize the design of this specific component to address concerns and enhance customer confidence. The company aims to ensure the reliability and safety of its vehicles through such proactive measures.
The company is committed to continuous improvement in its production standards and customer satisfaction. For new orders, vehicles will be equipped with the revised component from the factory, while existing customers have the option to have their vehicles updated.
