Zutec rolls out AI-driven platform to streamline construction project handovers

Construction and property technology firm Zutec has introduced Zutec Handover AI, a software platform aimed at automating the labor-intensive administrative tasks involved in construction project handovers. The tool uses artificial intelligence to classify, tag, and organize project documentation while providing real-time dashboards for tracking progress.

Historically, construction handovers have relied on manual processes, often resulting in delayed sign-offs and incomplete documentation as projects reach completion. Zutec’s platform allows subcontractors to upload documents via templates, with the system performing automated quality checks and categorization. The service also integrates a dedicated support team to verify submissions within 48 hours.

CEO Gustave Geisendorf stated that the platform aims to reduce the administrative burden on project teams, allowing them to focus on project delivery rather than chasing documentation. The company claims the software leverages insights from over 5,000 past projects, providing more accurate, industry-specific functionality than general AI models.

Zutec has also bundled previously optional features, such as digital safety files and asset register tools, into the core offering. The platform is intended to produce a centralized, intelligent building record that enables clients to query documentation through a chatbot interface, ensuring information is readily available for the building's operational phase.
