Zyxel Releases Outdoor Point-to-Point Wireless Bridge
Zyxel Networks has launched the NWA55AX PTP, an outdoor wireless bridge designed for point-to-point connections with a transmission range of up to 5 kilometers.
Zyxel Networks announced the release of its new NWA55AX PTP outdoor wireless base station, designed for point-to-point wireless communication.
The device supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, operating exclusively on the 5GHz band, and offers transmission speeds of up to 2400Mbps. It is built with integrated directional antennas to facilitate stable wireless transfers over distances of up to 5 kilometers.
According to Zyxel, the NWA55AX PTP is suitable for industrial settings, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and environments requiring extended wireless coverage. Potential applications include campuses, outdoor events, and transportation hubs.
The NWA55AX PTP features a 1GbE Ethernet port and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). It is IP55 rated for dust and water resistance and operates within a temperature range of -30°C to +50°C.
Zyxel also indicated plans to release a higher-specification model, the NWA55AX PRO with AX3000 capabilities, in the future.
