BAUHAUS automatisoi tavaroiden vastaanoton XYZ Roboticsin avulla
Rakennustarvikkeiden ja kodintarvikkeiden myyjä BAUHAUS ottaa käyttöön robotteja tavaroiden vastaanottoprosessin automatisoimiseksi Krefeldin keskvarastossaan. Ratkaisu vähentää manuaalista työtä ja parantaa tehokkuutta.

Home improvement retailer BAUHAUS has partnered with XYZ Robotics to automate its entire goods receiving process at its central warehouse in Krefeld, Germany. The implemented system utilizes RockyOne and RockyOne SE robots to handle tasks from container unloading to palletizing, aiming to increase operational efficiency and improve worker conditions.
The automation solution is designed to manage the complexities of receiving diverse goods, including items of varying shapes, weights, and packaging. The RockyOne robots unload loose cartons directly from shipping containers, while integrated scanning identifies and sorts items. The RockyOne SE model then builds pallets according to specific storage requirements.
This move addresses the physically demanding and repetitive nature of manual goods receiving, which often leads to high staff turnover and increased risk of injury. By automating these tasks, BAUHAUS aims to free up employees to focus on more value-added responsibilities. The system is reported to operate reliably around the clock with minimal manual oversight.
BAUHAUS, which operates over 290 centers across 19 European countries, is evaluating further applications of this technology within its network. XYZ Robotics, a global provider of mobile manipulation robots, is expanding its European presence to support warehouse automation initiatives.
