Eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica showcased its latest advancements in visual health technology at VivaTech 2026 in Paris from June 17-20. The company's exhibit focused on how the eye serves as a gateway to future possibilities, integrating science, design, and cutting-edge technology. Visitors experienced demonstrations of AI-assisted diagnostics and connected eyewear, highlighting the potential for improved vision and broader health insights.
The "Eye as a Window into Infinite Possibilities" themed stand featured interactive displays and expert discussions. EssilorLuxottica presented live demonstrations of Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta AI smart glasses, illustrating new ways to capture moments, communicate, and access information. The med-tech section showcased innovations from Heidelberg Engineering and RetinAI, focusing on AI-powered diagnostics for early detection of eye diseases.
"Innovations Talks" hosted by the company's Leonardo learning ecosystem featured over 20 sessions on wearables, AI diagnostics, digital innovation, and training. Paul du Saillant, Deputy CEO, and Federico Buffa, Chief R&D, Product and Marketing Officer, delivered a keynote on the eye's dual role as a connection to the world and a source of health data. Research experts also discussed neuroscience, light research, and computational modeling for myopia and well-being.
EssilorLuxottica emphasized its commitment to human-centered innovation, combining scientific excellence with technological advancements. The event, which attracted over 180,000 visitors, provided a platform for collaboration and highlighted the convergence of optics, health, and digital technologies to shape the future of vision and human potential.
