League of Legends Demacia Cup: 12 teams from six regions to compete

The 2026 Demacia Cup International Invitation for League of Legends has announced its participating teams. Twelve teams from six major regions, including LPL, LCK, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL, will compete in the tournament scheduled from October 3rd to October 17th.

Representing the LPL (China) are WE, JDG, and LGD. The LCK (Korea) will field KT, BFX, and BRO. The LEC (Europe) will see NAVI and VIT compete, while the LCS (North America) will have SR and FLY. GAM will represent LCP, and RED will compete for CBLOL.

This year's event has been upgraded to an international invitation, co-hosted by Tengjing Sports and Huya Live. Teams were selected based on their performance in their respective regions, prioritizing those who did not qualify for the 2026 World Championship. The LPL and LCP regions selected based on 2026 World Championship points, while CBLOL selected its 4th ranked team due to scheduling constraints.

The tournament will commence with an online group stage from October 3rd to October 8th, utilizing a Swiss system format. Eight teams will advance to the offline playoffs, which begin on October 12th. The playoffs will feature a single-elimination, best-of-five (BO5) format, culminating in the grand finals on October 17th. The latter stages of the playoffs, starting from the quarterfinals, will be held offline at the Beijing Smart Esports Arena.
