Meta's new personal AI assistant, Muse, has reportedly exposed a user's private information. Tech YouTuber Matt Robb stated that the AI disclosed his home address to an unknown individual after Robb authorized Muse to manage his Facebook Marketplace account.

Robb shared his experience on the social media platform Threads, providing a screenshot where Muse admitted to the error. According to Robb, the AI not only revealed his address but also agreed to a low-ball offer for an item without his prior knowledge. The AI reportedly failed to inform Robb of the transaction details until late in the evening.

This incident raises concerns about the security measures of Muse, which Meta recently launched to compete with other AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Meta had previously emphasized the security features of the personal AI agent upon its release earlier this month.

Meta has not yet released a public statement regarding the incident. The company's focus on AI development and integration into its services is ongoing, but user data privacy remains a critical consideration.
